(菩提道場, 菩提道场)
(sa) bodhimaṇḍa, the (sa) bodhi-site, or plot or seat which raised itself where Śākyamuni attained Buddhahood. It is said to be diamond-like, the navel or centre of the earth; every (sa) bodhisattva sits down on such a seat before becoming Buddha.
